Walter Gibbons from San Francisco, CA, graduated with the Norwich University class of 1931. While at Norwich, he played football and was a member of the track team and the glee club. He also served on the sophomore banquet and junior prom committees and on the staff of the War Whoop. Walter Gibbons was a rifle and pistol marksman and a saber expert.
